Privacy Policy

Your boards stay yours.

Frame Flipper works on your device. You choose what to import, where to save and what, if anything, to send us.

Last updated: 4 November 2026

This policy covers the Frame Flipper app and this website, frameflipper.app. Frame Flipper is provided by Splitwigs, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at [email protected].

Your storyboards

Finding frames, cropping, adjusting and exporting all happen on your device. The app does not upload your boards to us. Recent projects and working files stay on your device or in the places you choose, so we can’t see them, and can’t recover them for you.

Photos and camera

Apple’s photo picker shares only the photos you select, not your whole library. Frame Flipper copies the photos you pick into the app so Recent projects can reopen them; the copies are deleted when that project is removed from Recents.

The camera is used only when you choose to photograph frames or drawings, and those photos stay on your device. With Save to Photos on (Settings in the app; on to begin with), each frame you photograph is also added to your Photos library; Frame Flipper asks your permission first, and only to add photos, not to see your library. You can change camera and Photos access at any time in your device’s Settings.

Where your files go

You choose where to save. If you pick iCloud Drive, Dropbox or another cloud location, that provider stores and syncs your files under its own privacy policy. The app gives us no access to that account.

No account, adverts or tracking

Frame Flipper doesn’t need an account and contains no advertising, analytics or tracking software. The app doesn’t connect to our servers.

Crash reports

If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may send us standard crash reports and diagnostics. These can include device and technical details. We use them only to find and fix problems. Apple controls this under Apple’s Privacy Policy.

If you contact support

We receive your email address and whatever you choose to send, including any attachments and app or device details. We use it only to answer you and look into the problem. Please don’t send confidential boards unless you mean to share them.

Support email is forwarded by Cloudflare and stored in Gmail, provided by Google. Their handling is covered by Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy. These providers may process information outside the UK or EEA, using the safeguards they apply to such transfers.

We keep support emails while they’re needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. You can ask us to delete them at any time. We never use them for marketing and never sell them.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics, embedded media or tracking scripts, and loads nothing from other companies: its fonts, pictures and code are all served with the site. Cloudflare hosts it and handles technical information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect it. Cloudflare may keep security logs under its own policies; we don’t use them to follow visitors.

Children

The app doesn’t ask anyone, children included, to create an account or give personal details. If a child has sent personal information to support, a parent or guardian can contact us to have it deleted.

Your choices and rights

You control your project files and can delete them with your device’s file tools. Clearing Recent projects removes the list, not your original files or the folders you’ve flipped.

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we handle support and technical information on the basis of our legitimate interests in answering enquiries, maintaining the app and keeping this website secure. Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict the personal information we hold, object to how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email us using the address below. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Any new feature that changes how personal information is handled will be covered here before it’s released.
